In 2015 the Club celebrates its 60th Birthday and we would like our younger members to be included in the fun by showing us their talents. We’d like you to tell or show us how much your Wheatens mean to you and what they get up to. We are holding 2 competitions for you to enter. You can enter one or both of them, and as many times as you like. It is up to you.

The first competition is for those who love to draw or paint. We would like you to send us a picture you have drawn or painted of your wheaten. It could be one that shows why your wheaten is so special to you, or one that shows what adventures it gets up to. Your picture should be on an A4 piece of paper (ask your Mum or Dad if you aren’t sure what size this is).

The second competition is for those who prefer to write stories or poems. We would love you to write a short story of no more than 500 words, or a poem and tell us about the adventures and things you and your wheaten get up to. It can either be from how you see things or you can pretend you are your Wheaten and are telling the story from the way they see their adventures; or it could be about why your wheaten is so special to you.

There will be prizes for First, Second and Third place winners for the following age groups, in each competition.

  • Under 6 years
  • 6 to 11 years
  • 11-16 years

The age group you enter will be decided by your age on the 1st July 2015. Please make sure your name, address and date of birth is written on the back of your picture, poem or story.

Your entries need to arrive no later than 1st July 2015 and they need to be sent to:

Denise Pascoe
25 Cookes Wood

Please try not to fold your pictures before you send them – it’s best to keep them as flat as you can.

The winners will be invited to come along to the SCWT Club of GB Championship Show on Saturday 31st October 2015, to receive their prizes. Who knows, even if you don’t win one of the top prizes , you may well find your picture or story appearing in future Bulletins. So get writing and drawing and remember you can enter both competitions, as many times as you like.

Good Luck!
