 **NEW WHEATEN BOOK**

“The Early History of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and Beyond” is a brand new book, the author being our very own Barbara Penney (Willsbridge Wheatens). I was very privileged to be the first to see (and receive) a copy of this amazing book and it really is a life’s work.

Barbara, then Bulletin Editor, has always said it was through a suggestion I made to introduce a ‘Wheaten Record Breakers’ section into the Club Bulletin in the 1990s which has led to this.

Wheatens have been in my life for 34 years but Barbara has documented so much history that I wasn’t aware of, if you thought you knew the full Wheaten history you are mistaken. The book, all 430 pages, is crammed full of interesting and unknown facts, the breed history within the UK and overseas, Wheaten record breakers and so much more. The amount of detail is incredible and with over 600 photographs I just couldn’t put it down. As Barbara  says herself “The Early History of the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier and Beyond has been thoroughly researched over 20 years using worldwide records, to assemble a lasting legacy of this wonderful breed … it’s a Wheaten adventure through history’’.

A true legacy, there is nothing like it in the Wheaten world today, it is unique. An absolute ‘must’ for any Wheaten owner ‘and beyond’.
