Support Needed For Undergraduate Research Dissertation

The SCWTC of GB are delighted to be supporting Megan Chadwick with her undergraduate dissertation research into vulnerable native dog breeds. More information can be found below.

In case you can’t quite read the wording in Megan’s flyer shown above, it reads as follows: –

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN UNDERGRADUATE DISSERTATION FIELDWORK
I’m Megan, an undergraduate student at Oxford researching vulnerable native dog breeds and the clubs that preserve them, specifically how breed clubs operate and how they work to maintain these important breeds.

I plan to attend the Open Show on September 13 and the Championship Show on October 19 .

As well as observing the event itself, I want to approach members/attendees to ask for their participation in a phone interview (lasting around 50 minutes) after the event has taken place. If you agree to take part in an interview, I will give you a ‘Participant Information’ document to read. Then, I will give you an ‘Informed Consent Form’ for you to read and sign. There will be a section at the end for your contact details.

After the event I will contact you by email to agree upon a date and time for the interview.

Your anonymity and confidentiality will be preserved during the entire dissertation process.

If you have any questions, please email me at megan.chadwick@hmc.ox.ac.uk, or my supervisor at dolores.martinez@anthro.ox.ac.uk
